As a part of a strategy to connect Thai cultural capital Chiang Mai with the main tourist markets the best low cost airline of Thailand Air Asia will launch direct flights from Chiang Mai to Hong Kong.
The great opening of the new route is fixed on 7 January next year. The airline CEO, Tassapon Bijleveld expects that this flight will be interesting for both sides. Hong Kong was always one of the most popular destinations in the world. Chiang Mai in its turn develops very quickly and successfully.
New Chiang Mai – Hong Kong flight will take just 2,5 hours. To advancement new route Air Asia offers special fares. Travellers are able to book tickets for 1,290 baht including all taxes and fees for one way flight until 17 November for trips from 7 January to 5 August next year.
