Lion Air is ready to enter on the Thai budget airline market

Thai Lion Air (TLA) has presented its first two B737-900ER aircrafts which will serve its flights already in the next month. The Indonesia based airlines should become a potent competitor to local budget airlines.

Thai Lion Air (TLA) has presented its first two B737-900ER aircrafts which will serve its flights already in the next month. The Indonesia based airlines should become a potent competitor to local budget airlines.

According to TLA chief executive Darsito Hendroseputro, the airline will start with routes from Bangkok (Don Mueang Airport) to Jakarta, Kuala Lumpur and Chiang Mai. In the next year it will add international flights to Hong Kong, Singapore, Shenzhen, Guangzhou, Mumbai and Delhi and domestic flights to Thai popular destinations as Phuket and Hat Yai. TLA also plans to expand its air fleet on 10 aircrafts each year.
