The second city of Thailand, Chiang Mai is pending the thousands more Chinese tourists, which will be coming there by new Air China flights from Beijing since 7 November. The airline will launch three weekly flights on Monday, Thursday and Saturday for high season time. Further work will depend on passengers demand.

Given the fact that Air China is a member of Star Alliance, its new flights from Beijing would be connected with other Alliance’s international flights. It would make Chiang Mai a new transportation hub of the region.

Air China also plans to increase flights to Bangkok from two to three per day since 27 October.
