Despite the suspension of SGA operated shuttle flights from Bangkok to Hua Hin Airport, it is easily reached by road or rail. Hua Hin’s beautiful timber station is a stop on the main southern train line south from Hualamphong Station in Bangkok to Hat Yai, Padang Besar and Butterworth in Malaysia.
There are 10 trains a day in each direction which call at Hua Hin. They range in standard between a basic third-class diesel railcar and the air-conditioned sleeper trains to Malaysia. Journey times are around the four-hour mark from Bangkok.
The majority of buses from Bangkok to Hua Hin and the south depart from the capital’s Southern Bus Terminal (in Thai - Sai Tai Mai) on Borommaratchachonnani Road. Buses depart at regular intervals from both stations with the first service at 04:00 and the last at 21:00. Buses with a blue-and-white livery offer premium service with air-conditioning, hostesses, free water and snacks.
