Iloilo Hotels, Guesthouses and Resorts

There are a wide and varied number of accommodations on the island of Panay, especially in the Iloilo City area.

Unlike in other areas in the Philippines, there are a large number of hotels run by western companies, so if there is a chain you like, it may be worth checking with that company to see if they have a location in Iloilo.

Regardless, there are good price range options for any type of traveller from resort to business hotel to backpacker hostel.

Budget

Above the Bavaria Restaurant in Iloilo City is the Iloilo City Inn. It is located in the centre of Jaro and features 13 rooms. Every room has air conditioning and free wifi. Rooms start from PHP400 and go up from there. Perhaps the best perk of staying in this location is that you will be just steps away from delicious and fresh German beer and bratwurst. If you are interested in staying in the city centre, this is walking distance from many of the sights and attractions in Iloilo.

Mid-Range

A prime business hotel is the Circle Inn which is located in the downtown area of Iloilo City. Technically it is a three star hotel, with the interior very nicely furbished, and all of the 60 rooms available very nice. Every room comes with free wifi and a television. Some of the rooms have views of the ocean, and the hotel also features a swimming pool, bar, restaurant and business rooms.

Richmonde Hotel Iloilo is one of the most recent hotels that have been built in the city. It’s a very nice property and features most of the amenities you would expect from a newly built accommodation, including free Wi-Fi, cable and a television in every room, a fitness centre, business centre, pool, bar and restaurant and a 24-hour security service. Of course, the shiny newness comes with a price and you should expect to pay a good deal more for these rooms: anything from PHP1600 to PHP2000 can be reasonable, depending on the season. The hotel is part of the larger Megaworld installation which can be found on Enterprise Road in Iloilo Business Park.

Outside Iloilo City

If you are interested in staying outside of Iloilo city, there are a number of nice resorts and homestay options at many different budget options. One of these options is the Damires Hills Tierra Verde Farm Resort in Passi city. Travellers rave about this resort and it gets wonderful reviews online. The resort is located in the jungle, away from the hustle and bustle of the busy city. Rooms feature views of the palm trees, rolling hills, and nicely manicured grounds. There is a swimming pool available so it is a great place to chill out with your family. If you’re interested in visiting, it can be found on Brgy. Damires, Janiuay.

On the northern side of the island, you will find the San Antonio Resort which is the nicest resort in Roxas City. Because rooms are of such good quality, they are pretty expensive, and you can expect to pay around PHP1700 nightly. However, the hotel is really lovely, and the swimming pool can be a great place to relax all day, or you can take a stroll that will take just a couple of minutes over to the beach. There is a free breakfast buffet for all the guests, and seafood is often served for dinners. There is free Wi-Fi in every room, a bar, and an exercise room if you’re trying to drop some weight from all of that lechon! The hotel can be found on BayBay Beach in Roxas City.
