Being among the first on the market, Phantip offers a great choice of routes, has a large fleet and puts a lot of effort to make your journey safe and comfortable.
That said, delays may happen and some travellers complain of reckless driving and driving at extremely high speed – this is a common issue with many operators in Thailand though currently the authorities are trying to apply a stricter control over the operators.

The minivan leg to the pier was efficient, though the packed, compact seating combined with the hot, humid weather made for a somewhat cramped ride.
The most uncomfortable segment of the transfer occurred upon reaching the pier area, where passengers were left waiting in an empty parking lot for about half an hour with minimal communication. While likely exaggerated by low-season schedules, the lack of updates from staff created an uneasy atmosphere. Boarding logistics were also unconventional, involving a passenger trolley pickup to the pier and requiring foot passengers to walk directly alongside vehicles to reach the car ferry. The vessel itself appeared dated and lacked routine maintenance, requiring guests to navigate a long set of stairs to reach the passenger deck.
Despite the dated transportation and poor coordination, the indoor passenger seating area on the ferry was decent, and choosing the larger car ferry successfully prevented seasickness. Given the low price point, the service ultimately delivers on its basic promise of getting you from the airport to the island on a budget. However, travelers seeking a well-organized, comfortable, or seamless transit experience may prefer looking into alternative operators for future trips

Booked a Transfer from Koh Phangan to Khao Sok Village. It was scheduled for 11:30 am to 6 pm. Everything went smooth until we arrived with the Bus in Surat Thani. From there we were taken by a mini van, which was a view minutes delayed, but that would usually not be the problem. But then our driver first stopped to buy Snacks for himself, then he stopped to buy a Full meal at some street food stand and delivered it to a House in the middle of nowhere in the wrong direction. After that we had to stop again to get gas, which would usually also be fine, but not after all the stops and detours we already had. In the end our arrived 1,5 hours late and missed the night safari we wanted to do in Khao Sok at 7 pm.

From beginning to start every part of the trip was very unclear and no staff member was present to explain, in the start we were just standing near the bus parking with our bags in the heat and no one explained where is the bus and when are we supposed to depart.
After getting on the bus the bus was in a bad shape and very hot.
After arriving, the bus just left us and we were standing in the heat until we walked to the reception with our bags and they told us to go back and go on the a “free shuttle” thing and it was terrible because we just walked for nothing in the sun.
After arriving in the ferry terminal, again, no one really explained when are we supposed to depart and where to go and we sat there, again in the heat for almost an hour.
After arriving while someone told us to go to the ferry, we walked there and went to the passenger cabin, that was again in a bad shape and very hot.
The only good thing in this ride was the air conditiond shop on the ship with a very nice lady!
Overall the trip was a bad experience and the main problem was the lack of communication and clarity from the staff.

The driver was almost two hours late, and stopped on the way to pick up other people. In retrospect, we realized that it was a transfer for several people, but his lateness almost cost us getting to the ferry on time.
The transfer from my hotel in ko samui to nathon pier was good. When we arrived to the pier, the woman in the pier told Us that we could board on the boat at 13:00h ( and not at 14:00h as the ticket I bought) So when we arrived to Donsak pier there was no a bus waiting for Us. I undestood beacause We got on the bout one hour earlier, but the thing that I didnt understand is that the bus arrived to te bus stop when We were waiting for a while and we wanted to ask for the transfer to the driver and he didnt open the door. It was very hot outside and I was with my wife and my 6 years old son. One hour later I took a photo of the bus and then, they opened the door and two of the employees where staring and laughing of me in a bad mood. When my wife asked then the time that the bus leave they said that they didnt know and started laughing again.
39 minutes later the bus left and the got to surat thani town.
It’s not nice that you have to walk from the agency to the pier. It’s unclear which pier you had to take. There was no wifi on the boat. You had to take the bus aswel and that wasn’t described on the ticket. The drop off at the hotel was chaotic and not organized.
Very easy traveling and ticket system. The ferry was perfectly fine, on time and comfortable. The bus was very very old and didn’t seem to be very save… but we arrived at the airport on time!

The Van was really on Time in Koh Samui. The ferry was great. We took one Ferry early. Afterwards the Phantip Worker were kind of rude. They didn’t let us into the Bus which was infront of us for about 40 min. because they were eating. The Motor of the Bus was on all the time and we had to inhale the Smog. The Woman who checked the Ticket was also unfriendly. They could have let us sit in the Bus with our kids. Instead they were smoking and eating for a very long Time. That is not Customer friendly. We asked and they said wait and went away!!

We first had to check in at the 12Go counter at the Krabi bus terminal. They gave us the tickets for the bus, the ferry and also proposed a taxi service to our hotel in koh samui for only 150 Baths (it was minimum 400 on Grab or Bolt).
Then we took a 3h bus to the ferry pier from 10h15 (on time) to 13h15 with a pause of 15 min. The bus was not crowded so we had 2 seats each, which allowed to rest with more comfort.
Then we took a bus for 5 minutes to bring us in front of the sea.
We then had to wait until 14h for the ferry. The ferry does not leave the pier with us at 14h, but really arrives at 14h so taking into account the passengers that get off first, and then those that get in, we leaved more around 14h30/14h45.
The ferry was really slow so instead of arriving at 15h30 as started on the ticket, we arrived at 16h45 in koh samui. But the ferry was really comfortable and spatious.
Then almost immediately the taxi took us and we arrived at our hotel around 17h.
