Disappointing journey seeing as the reviews are normally great. Pros - comfortable, toilet on board and bed area was clean Cons - we were 2.5 hours late even though there was no traffic, two 30 minute stops (one 15 minutes after we got on and the second about an hour before we were meant to arrive), constant stops to pick people up and the driver had a crazy amount of smoking break where no announcements were mad about whether or not we could get off. We had to get two small vans and at one point we stopped while people got on the smaller van even though there was no announcement of where we were and someone at the bus office then got off to say we were meant to get off to get a shuttle to our final stop and we had to ask someone to help us find our bags as they all stood around talking to each other. If we had known beforehand that the stops were not included in the transport time and that the driver would stop for their own smoke breaks, we would have got the night bus.

The sleeping cabin seat was comfortable and the bus had USB plugs, which was convenient. However, the recliner on my seat was not working. The bathroom was also poorly maintained — there was no toilet paper, and there was no water or soap available at the sink to wash your hands.

The bus was about 20 minutes late to depart Tam Coc. It’s frustrating to be told to arrive at a departure point 30 minutes early, only to have the bus arrive late anyway. There was trash stuffed down the side of my seat from previous passengers. Overall the bus wasn’t bad, but it could’ve been a bit cleaner. The bus had some technical malfunctions which meant we stopped multiple times in different locations while different people attempted to fix the issues. We made one short stop at a roadside restaurant at around midday. After that, the only stops we made were to pick up other passengers. The bus did not have an onboard toilet. We didn’t have access to a rest stop or toilet for about 9 hours. The driver and their partner were smoking tobacco pipes onboard throughout the journey. The smoke made my partner cough a lot, as were seated close to the front of the bus, and there weren’t any open windows to dispel the smoke and allow fresh air circulation. Our bus arrived a bit over two hours later than scheduled, making the journey a 12 hour ride instead of a 10 hour ride.

Got the bus from Ninh Binh to Hue at 21:00. We were asked to arrive at 8pm instead and the bus set off earlier (assuming as all passengers had arrived). The bus was comfortable and provided us each with a bottle of water, a clean blanket and pillow. The toilet was also in perfect condition but had no paper (be mindful to bring tissue). We arrived at Hue at 5:10 (ahead of schedule.)

Arrived 2 hours late. Had to change buses unexpectedly where me and my friend had to share a cabin even though I had bought 2 tickets.

The bus was dirty and there should be a toilet stop but that was not the case. So you have to go in the back to the toilet but this was inaccessible because the aisle was full with luggage.

The Busses are really comfortable. You will have your own little cozy cabin and even though I’m 195cm i felt like I had plenty of space. They provided a bottle of water and we made 2 stops along the way.
