The journey was adequate and we arrived safely, two hours late. We left Georgetown exactly on time and the van was really nice and comfortable. The driver drove well and the a/c worked like a charm. However, one hour into the ride, we got pulled over by Malaysian police, who escorted us to a police station where the driver went in. Apparently, he was missing some sort of permit/registration. After a one hour wait outside the police station we continued. We also made a 10-minute stop for toilet. The border crossning went smoothly and quickly. We arrived to Hai Yai at one o'clock and I waited there for 90 minutes. The transfer process is a little bit hectic. At half past two we left Hat Yai in a van, that was on the cramped side, both with people and boxes, bags etc. The a/c worked, but it is not comfortable. If you are tall, make sure to get the one of the two single seats. We made one 15-minute toilet stop half way. At quarter past seven we arrived to Krabi bus station (5 kilometers from Krabi town). There a limited choices on this particular route, but if you have patience and a sense for adventure, I can recommend this company.
