Die Abfahrt erfolgte früher als angekündigt. Man muss Tickets am Schalter nochmal eintauschen gegen das Fährticket. Bei Übergepäck wird theoretisch 50 Baht berechnet, mussten wir aber nicht zahlen. Keine anschnaller im Bus.

Eine Nachtfahrt bei ruhiger See. Wir haben im grossen Schlafsaal sehr gut geschlafen, und erwachten mit einer traumhaften Morgenröte. Schöner kann eine Fährtfahrt nicht sein

Pick up would be anywhere between 30 minutes early and 30 minutes late. Was 30 minutes late. Then we stopped at Phantip office for another 15 minutes, where we got our ferry tickets. Smooth drive to the pier. Turned out to be Raja Ferry Pier. (We had chosen Phantip instead of Raja, because of their bad reputation…)
Raja Ferry was… Let’s say we survived it. Thanks to the small number of passengers we had enough space. Not sure about the level of comfort with a full boat.
All very old, rusty, damaged chairs, no escape ladder where the escape ladder was indicated. No service or personnel (except a vending machine and probably a captain somewhere).
Upon arrival in Koh Pha Ngan no real alternatives to the pickup truck taxi’s, that willl carry up to 8 visitors with suitcases, like caged animals, and still charge ridiculous prices (which you agree to and they then try to increase).
Anyway… we got there and the hotel is great!
We were told we’d be there by 12pm if we left Surat Thani at 8am. So we got up early and got the transfer to the ferry. When we arrived to the ferry at 9am we were told our ferry wasn’t leaving until 11am. So we could’ve got extra sleep and got the later transfer as there was only one ferry going. Very disappointing as we had arranged a transfer on Koh Phangan for 12.

Left on time from Surat Thani train station. As soon as I got out of the train, there was someone asking where I am going and directing me to the pick up spot which is to the left side of the station after you pass all the taxis and the parking lot.
I was the only one going to Koh Phangan so o had a very comfortable 1 hour drive in the van with aircon. Then I got my ticket and the driver left me at the ferry. All very well organised, and they make stops in Koh Samui/ then Koh Phangan and last one on Koh Tao.
Happy with the experience.
The transfer was very pleasant. On short notice, the driver even picked us up punctually right at our hotel. It would have been ideal if we had been informed the day before instead of only two hours before departure that morning. That would have saved us the trouble of organizing a transfer to Evergreen. However, we were able to cancel that easily.
The driver was friendly. There was no stop for a restroom break or drinks, but we didn’t need one and didn’t ask for it either. In general, a bit more communication would have been nice, although we understand that there may have been a language barrier.
Unfortunately, we had to wait 20 minutes for a late couple, which caused us to miss the earlier speedboat. This meant we had to wait two hours at the pier for the next ferry at 3 PM. That ferry was then delayed as well, so instead of arriving in Koh Phangan at 4 PM, we didn’t arrive until after 4:30 PM.
Overall, however, we were satisfied with the transfer and found it to be reliable. We would book it again.
