Erst wurde die Zeit geändert und wir mussten zwei weitere Stunden warten.
Dann kam endlich ein Bus, wir steigen ein machen es uns bequem und während der Fahrt werden erst die Tickets kontrolliert. Dann bekomme ich eine WhatsApp Nachricht dass wir im falschen Bus sind. Wir wurden dann an einer Tankstelle rausgelassen und mussten auf den “richtigen” Bus warten. Der kam dann und wir sind weiter gefahren. Der Fahrer ist sehr wild gefahren und man konnte leider nicht schlafen. Also große Person hat man auf den Sitzen auch nicht so gut Platz.
I contacted the bus operator before hand and they replied to me almost right away, asnwering all of my questions which was amazing, I was afraid that nobody was going to answer me.
The bus was very punctual and was like the pictures shown on the website. It was a pretty smooth ride too, I was actually able to sleep all the way until we made it to sapa. The drivers were not able to speak English however they tried their best to use google translate to help me understand them.

Wir sind mit dem Nachtbus von Halong nach Sapa gefahren und haben die Tickets via 12goAsia bei Sapa Ethnic Travel gebucht. Nachdem ich vorherige Reviews gelesen hatte, war es nicht ganz so schlimm, da wir schon auf das Schlimmste eingestellt waren. Die wichtigsten Infos aus unserer Erfahrung. Der Bus war ausgebucht, aber es lagen keine Menschen im Gang. Der Bus war voller Mücken (Spray einpacken!). Es wird mehrfach auf dem Weg angehalten, offizielle Pausen gibt es aber nicht. An WC Stops nicht zu denken bei der 8h Fahrt. Ein WC an Board gab es auch nicht. Der Fahrer spricht natürlich kein Englisch, eigentlich keiner an Board. Die Touristen wurden vom Fahrer angeschrien sich nach hinten auf Sammelplätze (5 nebeneinander und übereinander) zu legen. Man darf den Platz also nicht wählen. Die guten Plätze sind einheimischen Mitfahrern vorbehalten. Platz für Gepäck ist im Bus (auch unten wenig), da tausend andere Sachen transportiert werden (zB Motorrad- wtf). Kleineres Gepäck steht also oft im Gang herum. In Lao Cai wird man dann in einen Mini Van (überfüllt) bis nach Sapa umgeladen. Für 38 Euro für 2 Tickets gar nicht mal die beste Erfahrung gewesen. Das Private Car aus Halong kostet im Vergleich 170USD. Sollte man sich gut überlegen ;-) die Abholstation in Halong ist übrigens nicht in der Bay Chai Bus Station, sondern quasi davor. Schräg gegenüber von dem Mitsubishi Laden. Mussten wir aber auch selbst rausfinden. Unser Bus hatte "nur" 30min Verspätung bei Abholung. Und 1.5h bei Ankunft. Die Zeiten sind also nicht soooo genau zu verstehen.

Was given a window of pick up between 8:20 to 9:50pm (for what was meant to leave at 9:30pm for the international port. We arrived at 8pm to make sure we were early and the port where the buses work in and out of were closed and dark (we went there during the day to know where to go that night) so no access to anything especially toilets. By 9:30pm the number still wasn’t answering and finally text back saying a van would pick us up in 15 mins to take us to the actual bus. Then we were taken to the side of a road where the bus was waiting (7 mins drive so not sure why they didn’t just tell us to wait there for the actual bus) and we were expected to get on with still having no access to a toilet. After cracking the shits at the driver they took us to the petrol station to use the toilet. Apart from that the bus was good. Hard for me at 6 foot 4 (you are too big if over 150-160cm). Doable with my legs folded up but hard for an 9 hour ride.

Cons: bus bed remote didnt work. Neither did the TVs for me or any of my family members I was travelibg with. Driver did not attempt to see if everything was ok or show us how things work
Pros: excellent 12GO remote.assistance. Pick ups and drops off at hotels very well organised.

Very awesome experience. I enjoyed the ac, and the comfy bed with pillow and clean blanket. It was nice to have a charger port available and the wifi worked almost the entire trip. The driver was friendly and safe and punctual. The assistance thru the wifi app was much appreciated for pick-up directions. The bus was on time and I would highly recommend this bus service company. Best bus of my life so far!!!
