Ticket was sold to me saying minivan will be the vehicle, but I was boarded into a nearly full Bus at the terminal. It took more than 6 hours to reach destination, as I was transferred to a local van at the Krabi bus terminal to get to me to the final leg of the Ao Nang journey.

There was no air con on the bus so was a very hot ride. The bus also appeared to be over heating so extra time added onto journey. Although the drivers handled it well. There was also a lot of ants on the bus. Tranfer from bus to resort was great though

Van from Hat Yai was okay (not very comfortable but ok). Transfer from Krabi to Ao Nang was terrible. Didn’t seem anyone know what was happening and then thrown in the back of an open truck with 12 others. No room for luggage, driver has no idea where I was staying (supposed to be delivered to my hotel). Then tried to make me pay again (I paid S Part of the original total fare). Others had to pay hit hag no idea it wasn’t included….total joke.

The van was comfortable, and the trip was smooth. However, the space under the seat in front was blocked by wooden planks, reducing legroom. Upon reaching Ao Nang, I was transferred to a more spacious van for the hotel drop-off. The second driver was very friendly, and I arrived safely at the hotel.

I went from Hat Yai to Krabi in a van, we had a break but once I got there, I had to change to a shared taxi to get to Ao Nang and it took longer as estimated.

All in all the trip was ok. We made it to Ao Nang with only a couple minutes of delay. But prepare yourself for numerous stops where packages, people or whatever are being picked up. Also we booked to Ao Nang and when we got into the bus the driver said she just drives to the bus terminal in Krabi. In the end she organised someone to pick us up to go to Ao Nang. If the bus is full you have very little space for your luggage. Luckily our bus wasn’t fully booked and we had lots of room.
