It was a pretty rough sea in my opinion and we still went pretty fast. I am no expert at all but I didn’t feel safe. I would have liked to know that the sea was a bit rough before I went on the boat so I would have the chance to take another ferry or at least prepare myself for it. I thought that by booking a bigger boat and pay twice the money, I would feel safer but because of the conditions I absolutely didn’t. You could see that a lot of people were very scared.

Késett másfél órát a hajó, a hajó a hullámzás miatt recsegett ropogott menet közben. Még egyszer nem utaznék vele. A Gili Meno kikötőben nem csak a kikötői díjat kérték el, hanem arra is, hogy egy kisebb hajó kivigyen minket a nagyra kb 20 méterre a kikötőtől. Odafele nem kellett fizetni és nincs feltüntetve a vásárolt jegyen sem…
The time schedule mentioned on voucher did not correspond to the real departure of the boat. So be aware that the times booked are not real. Ours was half hour earlier. Fast boat was ok and also the crew. Car transfer to the hotel was longer as the driver had to drop another family first, so if you want a faster transfer you better take a taxi from the Padong Bai harbour. Our driver Arya was a very good driver, he did his best to get us as fast and safe as possible. Toll cost for the motorway was not covered in the booking so we had to pay extra fee to get the fastest way to Nusa Dua. Overall I don’t recommend booking online, better book in Bali, it’s cheeper, faster and easier
I booked from Gili air to Padang Bai at 11h30, I think they are never on time, official departure is 12, not 11h30 but they are actually late Vs 12, I was not too unlucky, boat arrived around 12h30 and we arrived in padangbai at 14h45
We left almost an hour late from Gili T. The onboarding was not orchestrated very well. No security explanation at all, which seemed necessary the way this ferry was moving. The seating was good.

As someone who is sea sick and incredibly nervous I was very hesitant I’m getting this boat. However I was pleasantly surprised, the boat was on time and half full, the sea wasn’t too choppy and so it was an ok experience! Very glad I got this bigger boat, rather than the little speed boats which are downright dangerous!
