Es war spannend den ganzen Ladevorgang zu beobachten und die Nacht war etwas schaukelnd, gut klimatisiert bzw etwas kühl und sehr angenehm bis man sanft mit Licht an geweckt wurde
Took Express Night Train at 5pm in Bangkok. We arrive in Chumphon at 3:35 am. Important to set an alarm in mobile in time. A big bus transfered us at 6am to pier, a backup bus waited at train station for late coming trains. Mobile voucher was needed to get the ferry tickets. Ship departed at 7am an we reached Koh Tao at 8:45am.
I had no problems with the Lomprayah service. What I did find intriguing though is that following my original confirmation from 12GO which stated a 8am departure I subsequently received an email from 12GO on 19 June. This email was received on 19 June and advised a change in departure time to 7am. This email also stated and I quote "as you required" when the fact of the matter is I required nothing. I think 12GO should amend its wording so as not to accuse a customer of requesting amendments. Just saying. Regards.
Lights could have been turned off at night. A sleeper train with lights off. Very hard to sleep Eapescially on the top bunk where the lights are sitting right next to you.
No announcements? Nearly missed my stop.
Their ferries are really nice and big - great for those who get seasick or don’t like being inside as there’s lots of outdoor seating too (indoor with AC if you prefer), clean and efficient
