列車は1時間遅れてやってきた。私たちは3等車に乗ったのですが、開いた窓からたくさんのほこりが入ってきました。

Train came 1h late:(. We travelled 3rd class and a lot of dust came through the open windows.

列車が満席だったことを除けば、素晴らしい経験でした。飛行機では見ることのできない国の姿を見ることができました。

列車はコンケンまで40分遅れ、バンコクまで3時間遅れで到着し、私は飛行機に乗り遅れた。

The train arrived 40 minutes late to Khon Kaen and then 3 hours late to Bangkok making me miss my flight.

こんにちは、この度はチケットを予約して送っていただきありがとうございました。自分だけのための客室を想定していたため、列車の旅に満足できないでいます。私は、プライベートな時間を楽しみ、本を読み、列車の中で眠れるようにと、一等寝台を予約しました。まさか不特定多数の男性と相部屋になるとは思ってもみませんでした。それは奇妙な体験でした。もし誰かと相部屋になることが分かっていたら、お金を節約して2等車に乗っていたかもしれません。私はプライベートなキャビンが欲しかったのです。それがファーストクラスの航空券を購入した理由です。ファーストクラスのキャビンを予約する場合、相部屋ではなく、一人でキャビンを利用することになると、顧客は常に考えています。ウェブサイト上でこのオプションを提供し、誰かと相部屋になることを顧客に明確に伝えてください。高いお金を払ったのに、相部屋になるなんて不公平です。私はその経験を本当に楽しめませんでした。帰りにまた相部屋になることがないように願っています。

Hello, thank you for booking the tickets and sending them to me. I am not satisfied with the train journey because I assumed that I would have the cabin just for myself. I booked a first class sleeper so that I could enjoy private time, read a book and sleep in a train. I did NOT expect to be sharing my cabin with some random guy. It was a weird experience. If I knew that I would be sharing a cabin with somebody I would have saved my money and traveled in second class. I wanted a PRIVATE CABIN. That is the reason why I bought a first class ticket. Your customers will always assume that if they are booking a first class cabin that they will be ALONE in the cabin, not sharing. Please provide this option on your website and please clearly tell customers that they will be forced to share a room with somebody. It's not fair that I paid so much money and then I had to share the room. I really did not enjoy that experience. I hope that I do not have to share a cabin again on the way home.

バンコクまでの道のりは長かったが、風光明媚なドライブであった。 途中の駅では、地元の人が食べ物や飲み物を持って乗り込んでくるので、空腹や喉の渇きを感じることはない。私たちは2等車のエアコン付き車両で移動しましたが、トイレは清潔に保たれており、他の車両については何とも言えません。私たちの車両も定期的に清掃されていました。 お勧めは、ジャンパーやカーディガンを羽織ることです。タイの基準では、エアコンは「非常に」冷たく設定されており、7時間も保つことはできませんから。快適さという点では、列車は古く、ガタゴトと大きな音がしますが、タイらしい魅力があるので気になりません。座席は、特に大柄な人には少し座り心地が悪いです。足元のスペースは十分ですが。この乗り物の大きな利点は、非常に変化に富んだ美しい風景を大量に見ることができることです。贅沢を捨て、日常を楽しむことに抵抗のない旅行者にお勧めします。

Het was een lange, maar mooie rit naar Bangkok. In sommige tussenstations komt de lokale bevolking met eten en drinken aan boord, dus honger en dorst lijden doe je niet. Wij reisden in een 2de klas airco wagon, waarvan het toilet wel proper gehouden werd, over de andere wagons kan ik niets zeggen. Onze wagon werd ook op geregelde tijdstippen gepoetst. Een aanrader is om een trui of vest aan te doen, want naar Thaise maatstaven wordt de airco op ‘zeer’ koud gezet, wat geen 7 uur uit te houden is…..dan spreek ik voor mezelf natuurlijk. Qua comfort, de trein is oud, rammelt en maakt veel lawaai, maar dat vonden wij niet erg, het heeft zijn typisch Thaise charmes. De zetels zijn een beetje minder comfortabel, vooral voor grote mensen. Beenruimte is er wel genoeg. Het grote voordeel van deze rit, je ziet enorm veel van het heel variabel en mooi landschap. Het is een aanrader voor reizigers die het niet erg vinden om ‘luxe’ eventjes aan de kant te zetten en te genieten van het ‘dagdagelijkse’.

I did this rail trip from near Laos Khong Kate) to Bangkok during the day instead of a night train. It was a very atmospheric trip. The train is old, the windows are lowered to get cooler air in, people sit in compartments for four people, looking out to the changing landscape, it is so lovely experience that country this way.

Would have been better if not for it being 1.5 hours late.

I think an elder person was in my seat, so I let them have it. The seat I ended up with was not as comfortable for the 8 hour all night trip, but it was quite alright and a good experience. Great price.
