Maria GAbbiamo viaggiato in sleeping bus + mini van da Vientiane a Nakasong e Don Khong.
Lo Sleeping Bus è partito da Vientiane puntualmente alle 20.00. L'autobus era un po' malandato, il viaggio era a volte accidentato e il letto era piuttosto piccolo, ma nel complesso è andato tutto bene. Se si viaggia in coppia, 1 letto (= 2 biglietti) va bene, altrimenti è meglio prenotare 1 letto per persona sola (= 2 biglietti). Nel letto c'erano 2 coperte e 2 cuscini. Sull'autobus c'era del personale che si assicurava che tutti scendessero al posto giusto. C'era acqua gratuita e un asciugamano rinfrescante per tutti.
Quando siamo arrivati a Pakse la mattina, il minivan era già pronto per partire e siamo partiti subito. Dopo alcune soste, siamo arrivati a Nakasong. Il porto è a breve distanza, dove si può acquistare il biglietto per la gita a Don Det (20.000 kip) e Don Khong (30.000 kip) (a partire da dicembre 2023).
Possiamo consigliare il viaggio con Green Paradise.

Elenor MImportante da sapere: Mi era stato detto di andare al Green Travel di Pakse per le 19.00. Quando sono arrivato lì, il posto era chiuso e sono stato lasciato sul marciapiede al buio, senza sapere cosa stesse succedendo e senza poter contattare Green Travel o 12Go Asia. Tuttavia, un autista di tuktuk verrà a prendervi per portarvi alla stazione degli autobus. Questo non mi è stato comunicato e ritengo che le persone debbano sapere che questo accadrà per non sentirsi insicure.
Non è colpa della compagnia o dell'autista, ma le condizioni della strada sono follemente dissestate e, se a questo si aggiunge il fatto di essere schiacciati accanto a un estraneo, non si riesce a dormire molto. Non ci si può fare niente ed è solo una parte del viaggio.

Nancy DSiamo stati prelevati dall'hotel dall'autista e portati direttamente a Don Det, il che non era quello che ci era stato detto. Ci era stato detto che saremmo andati prima all'ufficio, quindi avevamo programmato di prendere cibo e acqua dal negozio vicino all'ufficio prima del viaggio, quindi abbiamo finito per andare senza.
Tuttavia il viaggio è stato molto più breve di quanto consigliato, quindi siamo stati bene. Siamo arrivati con un'ora di anticipo dopo aver preso la barca dalla terraferma.

Ida JFate attenzione al momento della prenotazione se state prenotando uno degli autobus locali o un autobus VIP. Abbiamo prenotato un autobus locale che ha impiegato 12 ore (compresi due guasti al bus), aveva uno strano odore, era piuttosto vecchio e scomodo (non c'erano sedili veri e propri ma letti a castello) e non andava a più di 60 km/h. Quando prenotate un autobus locale, portate un po' di tempo e di pazienza e ridimensionate le vostre aspettative.

Abbey WSiamo arrivati con 4,5 ore di ritardo, il pullman non aveva tende e quindi era bollente sotto il sole. C'era l'aria condizionata ma non era molto efficace. Due persone in un "letto" che, come occidentali di media statura, non era molto comodo. Abbiamo fatto molte fermate. In una fermata siamo rimasti per quasi due ore, senza alcuna indicazione su quanto saremmo rimasti lì, se sarebbe stato abbastanza per mangiare un pasto adeguato, quindi abbiamo continuato per tutte le 10,5 ore di viaggio solo con le patatine. Inoltre, ogni tanto permettono ai locali di vendere a bordo bastoncini di carne giganti e molto pungenti, il che non è piacevole per noi vegetariani. Fortunatamente c'era ancora un hotel aperto per il check-in, perché quando siamo arrivati era già mezzanotte passata.

Noa GThe 12go asia description just mentions a sleeper bus - no other changes of transport during our journey. If there were other travel options, such as bus+van, which we saw when booking, we would not have booked it; we booked this because we thought it was one bus. When we get to the ticket office we were told we switch over once to another van and we would arrive the next day at 4pm, making the trip 20 hours. The trip ended up putting us into 4 different busses over a 27 hour trip, where we stopped to pick up more people when there was no room in the van. Our driver was friendly, but overall this experience was one I hope to never do again.

Martin HThe sleeper bus was relatively on time and the comfort level was mediocre with flat but fairly hard and short beds. But you really had to be at the bus station one hour earlier to receive a physical ticket with your seats and to embark the bus 20mins before.
We arrived in Pakse on time at shortly after 6 a.m. to change to a minivan.
However, the minivan did not come and leave until 8 even though all passengers had arrived around 6. Thus, we arrived 2 hours later than expected on the shore to board the ferry to Don Det.

Hannah BExtremely bumpy, no communication about stops being made along the way social of us were very confused about whether we should be getting off or not. Limited communication prior to the trip regarding steps in the journey - got off the bus and were told other transport would pick us up in 30 mins. 2 hours later it arrived. Then taken to a waiting area where we waited another 20 mins for a minivan (3rd transport). We were all going to separate places and would just stop on the side of the road leaving us very confused - we weren’t sure if these were rest stops or if people were meant to be getting off the minivan. What was advertised as a 13 hour journey actually became 17 hours and just very poor communication throughout

When we finished the journey on van no one told us where to walk to get the connecting boat to Don Det. Though we had a ticket for the boat, no one told us we needed to exchange the ticket for another.

Nathan PSleeper bus from Vientiane was fine, a bit cramped but is to be expected.
We weren't informed that there would be a change at Pakse to make the final stretch to Don Det. Arrived at Pakse at 6:40am and were told we'd be leaving at 8am, when the arrival time for Don Det was going to be 9am. When we asked the tour operator this he just laughed at our group. When we got on the next bus it was very outdated, leaking water onto other passengers and myself but not before driving around Pakse for another hour at least. The rest of the Journey was fine but uncomfortable. Eventually arrived in Don Det 4 hours later than told on the booking.
If the journey takes 16 hours at least, just say that, don't advertise it as 13 with no changes.

Simon WI have applied for a discount because the service arrived three hours late. I paid for the higher price to arrive at 6 am but it arrived at nearly 9 am. I was not comfortable. I am too old too to Sleep in a sleeper bus. The extra three hours after a long trip is really not enjoyable. The toilet on the bus is cramped and hard to use. But they did stop halfway for people to use a proper toilet.

Irina ZI paid $23 before fees and taxes for a minivan but they put me on a bus instead with no explanation and no partial refund when the bus ticket was more than 50% less. The bus ride was okay though.

Laura KWe arrived 5:00 in Pakse instead of 7:00 and had to wait 3h in the cold for the minivan without anyone telling us something.
The sleeper bus itself was very old, tiny short hard beds, impossible to sleep. Overall just a very rough night and disappointing experience
