Neil MThe van from Pattaya to the Cambodian border was very uncomfortable. It took the route as if we were all going to Siem Reap.
It was the worse seating ive ever had. I was in the back seat and the hard suitcases the driver loaded in were pushing into my ribs for 5 hours.
Then the second van from the border to Phnom penh took ages as the driver seemed to be running a business on the side collecting boxes and dropping them off for another business. Maybe this was partly responsible for the trip taking over 15 hours...Also he allowed two scruffy young Cambodian men on the bus for a free ride for 4 hours untill he had to tell them to get off for paying passengers. One of these men who was in the seat behind me took my mobile phone off my seat when i wasnt looking. When i realised he had stole it i grabbed it back off him.
My recommendation for anyone travelling from Pattaya to Phnom Penh is fly thete from Bangkok. I will never use this service again.. I am a full time traveller in South East Asia, so heed my warning. FLY INSTEAD!
