Phu Quoc Hotels, Guesthouses and Resorts

Where you want to stay in Phu Quoc all depends on what kind of vacation you’re hoping to have. Do you want nothing more than to longue by the pool, feel the ocean breeze, get pampered and drink cocktails? Or do you want to explore, hike, and journey to the far, lesser-known regions of the island to carve out your own beach paradise? Phu Quoc has options for every type of beach vacationer, just be sure to check room availabilities in advance! This island destination gets more popular every day.

Top End

There are a number of high-end, luxury resorts on the island thanks to its rapid development, but we think there are two standout options that have great beach views, food, and all the relaxation you’ll want in a full-out pampered vacation.

La Veranda is a resort on the famous and beautiful Long Beach, and while most resorts on this strip of beach are crowded and anything but exclusive, La Veranda is one of the few that is more elegant and stylish in its aesthetics and service. The resort has fused French Colonial elegance with romantic old Caribbean vibes to create a truly relaxing and welcoming atmosphere. Rooms range between USD168 and USD260 a night, and you will pay more for an ocean view. Fully indulge with a dinner at their upscale restaurant The Pepper Tree and enjoy a candlelit dinner on the beach as the sun goes down. (Tran Hung Dao, Long Beach, Ward 7, Duong Dong)

Peppercorn Beach Resort is another option for those seeking amazing service, food, and beach views. Rooms are a bit cheaper than La Veranda, at around USD100 a night. Peppercorn Beach Resort is on the northeast side of the island on a quieter beach and is only 7km from Dai Beach. With the option to stay in waterfront cabins, this resort will give you an intimate and luxurious experience. (Chuồng Víc, Gành Dầu)

Mid-Range

If Long Beach is too crowded for you, then Bamboo Cottages on Vung Bao Beach is a great option for more budget-conscious travelers. This off-the-grid cluster of bungalows is isolated and will be a truly unique experience. The price is great for the beauty and peacefulness of the beach that is literally just steps from your front door. For between USD50 to USD100 a night you will stay in a bungalow that is off the beaten path, so crowds will not impede on your vacation. This beach is small and very private. Accommodations are not so luxurious, but everything is simple, tasteful and clean. We easily made ourselves at home here in this relaxed, cozy environment. (Vung Bau Bay, Phu Quoc Island)

Budget

Phu Quoc’s resort construction may be booming, but there are still numerous options for the budget traveler or backpacker.

As Long Beach gets more crowded and expensive, you might want to look at Ong Lang Beach or Sao Beach for affordable accommodation that doesn’t compromise beach time.

Mia B&B is a guesthouse within a short walking distance of Ong Lang Beach. The facilities are new and the staff is warm and friendly. You can get a private room with air-conditioning and wifi for just USD14 a night. Even cheaper are the dorm rooms, at USD5 a night. (Ong Lang Beach)

Near the southern tip of the island is the beautiful white sand Sao Beach, and Ai Si Guesthouse is one of the few accommodations here. Family-run, they offer bungalows at 20USD a night. You’ll have all the facilities you need, and it is only a short walk to the turquoise waters of Sao Beach. This is a great option for backpackers who are also interested in all the diving opportunities off the southern tip of Phu Quoc in the An Thoi Islands. (Bai Sao Beach, KP4, An Thoi)
