Danang Hotels, Hostels and Resorts

When it comes to finding a place to sleep at night, Da Nang has a healthy variety of accommodation options. This city draws in a good deal of mid-range, domestic tourists, and while the coast and beach areas are dotted with high rise resorts and boutique hotels, backpackers and budget minded travellers can still find guesthouses and hostels, as well.

Budget

For budget minded travellers, we suggest exploring the area around popular China Beach. You’ll come across your fair share of higher end hotels, but a number of budget gems dot the area, too.

For all the true backpackers out there, Hoa’s Place has been a magnet for like minded travellers for years – even after its location move. Squeezed between other luxury accommodation options, this guesthouse is both simple and basic in what it offers. When it comes to personality, though, Hoa’s Place can’t be beat. Save some money with this budget option; a bed will set you back less than USD10. (215/14 Huyen Tran Cong Chua St, China Beach)

Another option for budget travellers is the Da Nang Backpackers Hostel, located along the west side of the Han River, just across the Cau Song Han bridge. Guests rave about this place, and it’s easy to see why. For a community experience, this hostel tops the list. The rooftop bar, free nightly beer, pool and foosball tables, and free breakfast are only some of the sought after amenities offered. Single beds in rooms with wifi and a/c run about USD10-12. Mid-range

If the backpacking scene is a bit too late-night for you, mid range options are also very easy to come by in Da Nang. Since the city is primed for Vietnamese nationals taking family holidays and employees on business trips, you won’t have a hard time finding an affordable room.

On the east side of the Han River, you’ll find a host of mid-range options that offer value and excellent service. This area is a bit quieter than the west side of the river, and you’ll likely need a taxi if a beach trip is in the works, but the quality and availability make it a wonderful option.

The Da Nang Riverside Hotel is a safe bet in this part of town. The building just passed its ten-year birthday, so rooms and amenities aren’t too dated like some of the guesthouses and hotels you’ll find around Da Nang. What most travellers love about this place is its high class feel at such an affordable cost. For between USD40-50, you’ll get a decent sized room with comfortable furnishings, wifi, air conditioning, and included breakfast. If you decide to book here, we suggest requesting a non-smoking room if the smell bothers you. (30, Tran Hung Dao Street, Son Tra District, Phuoc My)

Top end

For luxury accommodation, you won’t have to look too hard; Da Nang has a booming resort scene for higher-end travellers. If you really want to splurge, our favourite place to stay for a few nights is The Intercontinental Da Nang Sun Peninsula Resort. You’ll have to travel a bit outside the city centre to rest your head here, but trust us - it’s well worth it. This luxurious property offers jaw dropping views over the peninsula that in and of itself is worth a trip out. The resort isn’t close to many of Da Nang’s main sites, but with a private beach, pool, and multiple restaurants, there’s really no reason to leave. Expect to pay over USD300 for a room here; the price tag is a bit high, but the luxurious experience it affords is one of a kind. (Bai Bac, Son Tra Peninsula)
