Bus didn't arrive to destination to pick us up, so we were taken in cars in bad conditions. We had to cross borders walking for 1km carrying our bags to pick "the real bus". The real bus arrived 1 hour later. The space was for 7 people and we were 8. THe driver fell asleep while driving during the trip and the van fell out of the road. We almost crashed and obviously we could have had a terrible accident. Only favorable thing I can say is that the people delivering the service were nice, but the service was a disaster.

The driver insisted on waiting on another vehicle that was his “buddy” it caused us to be nearly 3 hours late from the time estimated by the tickets. The driver did not care about the customers time.

The trip went well. When arriving at Avlabari, I was accompanied to the vehicle. It was a small minivan for 7 persons and enough space for luggage. The driver spoke basic English but well enough. I was in Azerbaïdjan before but had no particular issues crossing the border. The drive in itself was confortable: the road was in good shape, the driving was fast but still acceptable and the risk was measured. If you’re bothered by the driver looking at his phone then just take the train or a flight, that is just how they drive in the region.
