The first part of the journey between Sapa and Tam Coc was perfect, with the driver and SDT teams taking great care of us at the start, during the journey and on arrival. Then everything turned extremely disappointing after the bus change. The driver of the HK Open Tour bus didn't have the passenger list. The luggage compartments were full of goods and we had to travel with our bags. The driver drove very aggressively, honking constantly. People kept getting on and off, cramming 2 onto the VIP 20 sleeper seats, or in the corridor. The bus was due to take me to Hué at 7.30 am. At 6.40am, we were already in Da Nang, but the bus didn't stop as planned at SDT Hué Office. In Da Nang, the driver made everyone get off in front of a stall where people were waiting for goods. When I asked the driver why he hadn't stopped in Hué, he replied that buses on the expressway don't stop in Hué (???). However, he stopped a good dozen times to load or drop off people in the middle of the countryside. He told me that to get to Hué, I'd have to go to the bus station and retrace my steps. As I insisted that I had paid to go to Hué and that he hadn't respected the contract, he went and got a scooter to take my wife and me to the bus station and paid for the tickets for the regular Da Nang - Hué shuttle. I arrived 2 hours behind schedule. SDT is a young company, of course, but it's not normal for them to contract in this way with bus companies that have no regard for passengers, whereas we paid full price to travel in VIP 20 and not have this type of problem. La première partie du trajet entre Sapa et Tam Coc était parfaite avec une prise en charge attentionnée au départ, pendant le trajet et à l'arrivée par le chauffeur et les équipes de SDT. Puis tout est devenu extrêmement décevant après le changement de bus. Le chauffeur du bus HK Open Tour n'avait pas la liste des voyageurs. Les coffres à bagages étaient remplis de marchandises et nous avons dû voyager avec nos sacs. Le chauffeur conduisait très agressivement, en klaxonnant sans cesse. Des gens n'ont cessé de monter et descendre en s'entassent à 2 sur les sièges couchettes VIP 20, ou dans le couloir. Le bus devait me déposer à 7h30 de matin à Hué. A 6h40, nous étions déjà à Da Nang sans que le bus ne s'arrête comme prévu à SDT Hué Office. A Da Nang, le chauffeur à fait descendre tout le monde devant une échoppe ou des personnes attendaient les marchandises. Quand j'ai demandé au chauffeur pourquoi il ne s'était pas arrêté à Hué, il l'a répondu que les bus qui prennent la voie rapide ne s'arrêtent pas à Hué (???). Il s'est pourtant arrêté une bonne dizaine de fois pour charger ou déposer, en pleine campagne, des gens. Il m'a dit que pour aller à Hué, il fallait que j'aille à la station de bus pour retourner sur mes pas. Comme j'insistais sur le fait que j'avais payé pour aller a Hué et qu'il n'avait pas respecté le contrat, il est allé chercher un scooter pour nous amener, ma femme et moi à la station de bus et il a payé les billets pour la navette régulière Da Nang - Hué. Je suis arrivé avec 2h de retard sur l'horaire initialement prévu. SDT est une jeune compagnie, certes, mais il n'est pas normal qu'elle contractualise ainsi avec des compagnies de bus qui n'ont aucune attention pour les voyageurs, alors que nous avons payé le prix fort pour voyager en VIP 20 et ne pas avoir ce type de souci. Malheureusement, je vais rejoindre la longue liste de ceux qui, sur TripAdvisor, Google et les sites de voyageurs, déconseillent de faire appel à leurs services.
