This trip is the most badly organized Ive ever been. Unfriendly behaviour, confusing communication. Bad english. At one stop they forgot me and the bus left. I had to take a motorcycle driver to catch the bus. The driver is making very dangerous driving

Good thing first: I was the only passenger for a big bus Negative points: - the bus had better days - the guide was not friendly (first time I experienced that in Cambodia) - at the boarder to Vietnam they want your passport and don’t explain anything. I was told go in their and scan your luggage. So I found myself at a busy custom without having my passport. Eventually my guide showed up and everything was fine. —> better communication or any communication could avoid this strange feeling - they dropped me off at a different place in Ho Chi Minh then promised. When I was telling and showing the drop off point on my phone them they laughed and said no! Additionally they said hurry up hurry up. So in general the communication was awful.

Unfortunately we had to wait at the border crossing for 4 hours due to an internet problem. Which of course is not the operators fault, however there was no communication from them as to why there was a delay. No communication of where to go once it was resolved and which queue to join. By sheer luck we joined the correct one. All this with the added stress of hundreds of people trying to get their passports back (ours had also been earlier collected) at the same time did not help. I think if the bus staff had spoken to us more it would have made the delay more tolerable.

I gave 5 stars because it’s a good balance of price and quality. Yes, there are no USB chargers on board. Yes, the staff is not very engaging, but not rude. If you just need to get from point A to point B without any extra service gimmicks, this is a good option. But if the company owners are reading this: please instruct your drivers not to set the air conditioning to the minimum (for some reason this is a common problem across Asia). In the evening, when the sun went down, it became so cold inside the bus that we literally froze.

Public transportation includes buses and the growing metro system, but taxis and ride-sharing services like Grab are convenient options. Prices for meals range from 50,000 to 200,000 VND ($2-$8). Tap water is not recommended for drinking; opt for bottled water.
