Henry LThe train was as expected, albeit the ride was not very comfortable. However it was a bucket list item and I think it was worth the hassle of sleeping on a noisy and bumpy ride. The beds are firm. The adults didn’t sleep well however the kids were fine. Unfortunately I got off at Hue instead of Danang so I might have missed the best part of the scenery. There wasn’t much to see besides the rice patties. The snacks and water was sufficient and the toilets are looked after well enough. I don’t regret the experience as poor sleep was expected.

Train stock is a little old now and it tells when your night is a little noisier than expected. Al part of train travel in Vietnam.
I say that but our kids said they had their best nights sleep of the trip. Everyone is different.

Dario DThe bus was. In late , it took 12 hours to do Hanoi -hue, the driver used the horn a lot during the night, and he drove all the time really too fast , we kept bumping with all the holes on the street,it was really scary sometimes ....

Mylene RWe should have arrived around 7:30, but instead we arrived at noon because the driver didn't stop in Hue. What bothers me is that when I tried to ask questions, the bus crew wouldn't listen and told me to go back to sleep.

Adam KVery uncomfortable and cold - duvet insert not provided and the door handle was falling off the door so it was very hard to close and lock. Toilet was grim - I expected this but it was on the lower end of worst expectations

Diana AEasy and uncomplicated check-in. The berths were comfortable enough for a sleeper train. We had a good night sleep and arrived in Hue even ahead of schedule. Clean and enough service in the train. Besides the included beverages and food, there is also a cafeteria on the train and a possibility to order more snacks. Toilet was clean and staff friendly.
