Chris The road from Nong Khiaw to Muang Xai is actually better than the road north from Luang Prabang. Mini buses are always a little cramped and ours didn’t have air con. However we had a breeze from the windows. Good value for the price

Rebecca GWhilst initially worried as we were picked up by tuk tuk, this took us to the bus station where we got in a minibus.
The mini bus was suitable for 11+driver. We kept stopping and picking more people up until 16+driver were packed in including rubbish. Children on laps, people sat in the aisles on luggage and they added 'stools' in gaps as extra 'seating.' With the bumpy roads this made for a very uncomfortable trip. AirCon didn't work so we had the windows open, which meant bugs and flies could get in. Only positive was we left and arrived on time
