The van driver made me pay 5,000 rupiah at the counter at a meal stop midway through the trip. I searched online and it seems it was probably a parking fee. There were other passengers as well, but he still charged only me. It wasn’t a lot of money, but being suddenly and unfairly asked to pay something beyond what I had already paid made the second half of the journey very uncomfortable. A travel agency should provide not only convenient transportation but also satisfactory service. Because of this experience, I don’t plan to use this service again.
