It was a very comfortable ride. The staff were very helpful and gave instructions in English as well as Khmer. They even provided lunch, which was included. The bus was also very modern, so you could charge your devices. And, they had free WiFi.

Phnom Penh (Cambodia) to Don Det (Laos): Departure was one hour late, but they didn't send me any message before. Driver of the first van was on the phone many times, I really don't like that. He's responsible for 10 people's life and then just answers voice messages or phone calls while working. Second bus, the big one, was comfortable and fast. Overall we arrived 1,5 hours late, but that was still better than I expected. Border crossing was very easy. The boat ride in the end was also ok, it's a small boat.
