I booked the bus for 8:30 pm. On the same day I got a text that said the bus would be 30 minutes late. Which is fine. Then at 7:20 they texted me that I would be picked up from my hotel and brought to a different location. They picked me up at 8. I was dropped off at a bus stop in a completely different place then what was my actually pick up point. This itself is not a problem. The driver then just pointed and told me to wait there. The two women working there asked me in Vietnamese where I am going and said to go to Ninh Bình I would need to get to a different place. The bus showed up in time tho. Getting on was fine. The quality of the bus was fine. It wasn’t the most comfortable but alright. We ended up arriving 2 hours earlier and I was dropped off at a different place then what I booked. I made it to the city in the end

I booked this bus (9am) last minute and it was full but the bus operator called me and booked me onto the next available bus at 3pm. The bus was a VIP sleeper, my pod was comfortable and the ride was not bad. We had some stops for the bathroom as well as one to get dinner. At the destination they made stops in Tam Coc and Ninh Binh and wrote down my stop so there was no confusion. My experience was great!

After we double checked for the train with the vnr Lady, she informed us that train has 20 min. delay. Which was not a problem and gave us time for an other coffee ;-)
Seats were average. Staff on train was friendly and checked with us where we are going and came to us to let us know that next station is our stop.
Everything went smooth and easy.
Toilet were not too bad, bring your own TP and maybe sanitizer.

The Bus was Nice, but the driver drove so fast and reckless so that the Bus was shaking and it was Hard to find some Sleep.
We First had to Drive with a transit vehicle to the Bus and he just dropped us off in the middle of nowhere. Would have been nice to know that.

for some reason, once in the meeting point… someone told me (just me, not the rest of the passengers) to go with him as he needed to drop me somewhere else in his car. Was a little bit confusing and uncomfortable. So he dropped me off in a petrol station where another bus came to pick me up and I was the only passenger in that bus and they stopped on the road for more people and I was the only foreigner… and they asked me up to 3 times where should they drop me ? at least I arrived to my destination tho !
