Our first ride on the way to HCMC was smooth, but the travel back was stressful. The coordinator in the bus apparentlg was informing us about the heightened security for PH passport holders at the cambodian border but approached us in a way that he was certain we will not be able to enter, which caused unnecessary concern among us and the other passengers. He was deciding for himself instead of letting the immigration handle it and overstepping his job. We kept on telling him we had already travelled through the border and he did not have to worry, but it seemed he was getting ahead of himself and kept on telling us we will not be able to pass. He also accused my mom of overstaying when we had just told him that stamp was from last month’s vacation. We explained that we took an e-gate so we didn’t get any stamp at the airport, but rather the stamp he saw in my mom’s passport was valid from her vacation last month as she took the same bus back and forth Phnom Penh and Ho Chi Minh. But it seems he’s not aware about e-gates because even after that, he never listened and kept on telling us we were invalid. Never in our life have we overstayed in any country! We weren’t only stressed out about the whole thing but also shamed in the process because of his accusations. In the end, we were able to get through just fine with no problem and even went back to the bus earlier than the other passengers. We appreciate his concern for us, but honestly, he should stick to just doing his job and stop worrying about the decisions he’s not in charge of making. 🙂

If you are unorganised this is a good choice. You do pay more for the Cambodia visa $40 instead of $30. But we went tho right so fast, and no extra bribes… they take you thought the VIP counter. You can make it cheaper by having the evisa already. But if you are last minute like us. This is great and stress free. And the bus seats very comfortable

Price is very good, under $70 for return trip for two ho chi minh phnom penh but bus was very tired and trip took 9 hours, not the scheduled 7. No individual device charging, only an outlet behind the driver and our booked seats were changed to seat us together when we had specifically chosen single seats for window access. Would prob pay more next time for giant ibis equivalent experience.

Bus was comfy and on time. I literally gave the driver my passsport and $40 on the bus and I didn’t have to do anything else for my visa. Arrival cars filled out for me too other than email and address in Cambodia. Lovely driver and attendee too!! Think we 3 stops and all decent ones,

Good organization. Smooth ride. Good drivers. Even some food was given. We could chose different dishes. The only critique: the woman, who served us, was very unfriendly, to me at least. She doesn't understand what customer satisfaction means and how important it is, to a company providing a customer based service.

Key special days include:

  • Khmer New Year: Celebrated in mid-April, marking the end of the harvest season. Families gather for traditional games and ceremonies.
  • Pchum Ben: A 15-day Buddhist festival occurring in September or October, honoring ancestors with offerings at pagodas.
  • Independence Day: Held on November 9th, commemorating Cambodia's independence from France in 1953, featuring parades and fireworks.

Phnom Penh can involve a fair amount of walking, especially when exploring areas like the Riverside, the Royal Palace, and the Central Market.
