Would recommend. The staff is super nice and we left punctually. The Visa on Arrival from HCMC to Phnom Pehn was super smooth because of the help from the drivers. My Massage chair was bit working but it still reclined. The Aircon is also working nicely.

Comfortable bus, great service, very nice/kind driver and hostess. However, there were two main issues with the operating office. My bus from Ho Chi Minh to Phnom Penh was scheduled for 15:45. I went two days ago to the VET office in Ho Chi Minh City to check the ticket and departure point to ensure everything was as planned. All was confirmed. On the day of travel, I arrived at the departure point at 15:00 (45 minutes early). The office staff were panicked and hurried, immediately telling me that my bus was on the main road and leaving now at 15:00; the time had changed! Excuse me? I was so lucky I arrived 45 min early, or I would have missed my bus for no reason! I RAN to the road and managed to board the bus at the last minute! It really departed after I got on. I was lucky, but this is actually a serious problem. The second issue is that I am a solo traveller; I specifically chose a bus with a single seat. I reserved seat 1A. When I arrived at the office, they also changed my seat to a two-seater in the last minute. These small (!) issues are annoying, but otherwise everything was great!

If was sadly a bad experience. Advertised Fre WIFI on the bus but no internet service Air con very poorly maintained and was too uncomfortable on the trip. Loading packages on the way to the destination that caused the vehicle to have extreme weight that resulted in a blow out in the way from the border on Cambodia. We were stranded in the middle of knowhere until they arranged another bus for two hours. Very bad experience and would not use this company again. Arrived in Phnom Phen 3 hours late.

The bus was very old and my chair didn't lay. The driver was very noisy with the horn. The service with the border was nice and smooth.

Crossing the border can be time-consuming, so ensure all necessary visas and documentation are prepared in advance. Some buses assist with the border crossing process, which can be helpful.

Key special days include:

  • Khmer New Year: Celebrated in mid-April, marking the end of the harvest season. Families gather for traditional games and ceremonies.
  • Pchum Ben: A 15-day Buddhist festival occurring in September or October, honoring ancestors with offerings at pagodas.
  • Independence Day: Held on November 9th, commemorating Cambodia's independence from France in 1953, featuring parades and fireworks.

  • Royal Ploughing Ceremony: Acknowledges the start of the rice-growing season, usually in May, with a symbolic plowing ritual.

During these events, expect crowded streets and potential transportation delays. It is advisable to book accommodations and transport in advance.

Is there a lot of walking in Phnom Penh?

Phnom Penh can involve a fair amount of walking, especially when exploring areas like the Riverside, the Royal Palace, and the Central Market. Sidewalks can be uneven, and the city can be busy with traffic, so caution is advised.
