The boat hull failed in the waves under the captain's bridge and the boat started to take in water. We lost power and thus pumps. There were absolutely no information from the crew regarding the incident during or after in the port. There were plenty of floating objects in the cabin (carpet and trash bins) and emergency exits wasn't easy to open. This river boat shouldn't be allowed to cross the sea. It was quite severe, we had water up to our calf in the cabin.

I had a really smooth experience with Wahana Ferry. As soon as we boarded, they handed everyone a free bottle of water, which was a nice touch. The leather seats were surprisingly comfy, and the air-con kept the cabin cool throughout the journey. Downstairs had tinted windows, making it darker and more comfortable if you just wanted to relax or nap. The ferry left perfectly on time with no delays at all, which I really appreciated. Overall, a great, hassle-free trip — would definitely recommend travelling with Wahana if you want a comfortable and reliable ride.

This ferry was fine, the seats are small and you do get packed in like sardines but there is some aircon which was good. Not very comfortable but got us where we needed to go.
