Belgrade to Sarajevo Destination Reviews

FR

It’s a long distance bus in Serbia and Bosnia. Don’t expect fancy. It’s comfortable enough and it’s got a couple of bathroom breaks. You’ll need to buy a platform pass in Belgrade 200 dinars) and also pay 200 dinars for your luggage in the trunk. It’s a long trip, 7 hours, but you’ll arrive safely enough. The bus station in Sarajevo isn’t near the city center. I took a taxi and it was 50 bam with a lot of traffic).

In addition to the amount you paid online for the ticket, you will need to pay an extra 300 RSD at the entrance just to access the bus departure area. I also paid 200 RSD for my hand luggage. So, in total, you should expect to pay an additional 500 RSD on top of the ticket price. Please note that the luggage fee can only be paid in cash, so make sure you have some cash with you.

Driver was really rude. Everything is very old-fashioned and everything is very inconvenient, nothin. Everything is very old-fashioned and everything is very inconvenient, nothing electronic and everywhere they want to rip you off more money, even if you bought a ticket Online. Very rude driver.

Everything was great except for the unexpected baggage fee when already used local currency. The new bus station charges 300 ron per person to enter bus area. Also did not realize it was a mini bus and was hard to find and almost missed it since it wasn't in international location but local buses and not listed on the computer board.

Okay bus but ripped off with extra charge. The bus itself was okay, no WiFi but there was air conditioning. There was a 200 Dinar / 2 Euro baggage charge which wasn't mentioned beforehand. And the driver didn't give me enough change, so I ended up paying 5 Euro for this.

Brza i ugodna vožnja. Udoban i čist autobus. Nisam vidjela utičnice za punjenje telefona. WiFi signal autobusa je bio nestabilan.

Off to Sarajevo. The driver was on time and professional! It was comfortable! He stopped enough times to use the washroom and grab a bite! Overall a good trip! Our driver was awesome. A little dirty.

What a messy driver. The driver didn't speak a word of English. That wouldn't be a big issue if it was a local bus, but that was a ride that crosses the serbian-bosnian border. He made us pay 360 dinar cash to put our luggage in the bus. He sounded very rude and loud; not having a care about our comfort. I know there are differences based on culture, but this guy didn't sound polite AT ALL. Another passenger who understood what he was saying told me that he wasn't nice for seemingly no reason. He drove very aggressively, even insulting another driver (even though it was the driver who did a bad maneuver, I saw it happen). He cut other drivers off multiple times and was often going way over the speed limit. I'm pretty sure he picked up a random man that paid him cash for the travel. This clearly is not the easiest ride for a bus driver, I get it, but there were no functioning security belts for us and the transmission had issues every now and then. I would never go back in this driver's bus.
