Battambang to Phnom Penh Destination Reviews

Definitely not a luxury vehicle. Tiny seats with no legroom, luggage squashed under seats and dubious standard of driving. Air con barely worked.

I booked last minute and the only available seat was the front, middle, between the driver and passenger her seat. Partially my fault but the seat should not even be offered. There is no place to put your feet, and the seat is on the transmission hump. It’s hard as a rock and there is not even a seatbelt. It was 4 hours of discomfort. The things we accept for flexibility. Needless to say I won’t make this mistake again!

The seats are too small. There is too less space for 4 persons in the last row

Entire team extremely friendly and helpful. Super comfy, just like on a plane, just on the road. Coffee and snack provided was a nice addition. The rest stop location was impeccable. Looking forward to traveling again.

The rolling stock has recently been replaced. We were in a very comfortable carriage with air conditioning. There was an even more comfortable 1st class carriage but it was empty as they don’t sell tickets online for it yet. The carriages are old Japanese rolling stock and very well built. Bring a jumper or a blanket as the AC can be quite cold. Really enjoyed the journey. The train arrived about 1 hour late. The seat numbers allocated via 12Go were irrelevant as they did not match the seating numbers on board. We were advised that it was free seating.

Not a bad trip for 4.5 hours and a good stop part way through. However the minibus was very cramped for space, not much leg room and clearly an older vehicle. If it was full, which thank god it wasn’t, it would have been extremely uncomfortable.

it was a very comfy seat, I found the lunch pause a little bit too long and the AC could have been colder, the last 3 hours it got pretty warm in the bus. very friendly staff, would book it again

The bus drivers are racing so it is a matter of time when people get killed on that road .... you might wish to pass the company the message .... secondly, it is misleading when you call the company AIRBUS when in reality it's VETJEat AIRBUS .... taxi drivers don't know where to go so it's better to book through local hotels than booking with your company So .... you guys have some things to improve on .... good luck 👍

Train

Train is a often a great choice for long-haul travel especially if you opt for a night sleeper train with berths which will allow you to sleep all your journey through. To make the most of your train journey, choose the class of your ticket wisely.

Note that there are air-conditioned and fan-only carriages; private compartments for 2 or 4; hard and soft seats.
Though the upper class you get the smoother is your journey, often second class air-conditioned or fan-only sleepers are a good money saving alternative.

Things to remember: When travelling by van with huge luggage buying a separate seat for your suitcase or backpack is a good idea. Do not expect there is a roomy luggage compartment in a van - there is actually none and your fellow passengers are unlikely to appreciate your luggage stuck under their feet, alas.
