AirAsia X Now Flies from KL to Okinawa via Taipei

AirAsia X, a sister company of the famous Malaysian low-cost airline that operates long-haul budget flights, laucnhed a new flight between Kuala Lumpur, the capital of Malaysia, Taipei, the capital of Taiwan, and Naha Airport in Okinawa, Japan.

The air distance between Kuala Lumpur and Taipei is 3,300 km, between Taipei and Okinawa – 650 km. Flights will be operated four times a week – on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday.

From Kuala Lumpur, flights depart at 7.35 am landing in Taipei at 12.20 pm and then in an hour's time leaving for Okinawa where they arrive at 4 pm.

In the opposite direction, departure time from Naha Airport is 5.30 pm, from Taipei – 6.10 pm, arrival time to Kuala Lumpur – 12.05 am the following day.

There is no time difference between Kuala Lumpur and Taipei while Okinawa is one hour ahead of both Malaysia and Taiwan. Total travel time in each direction thus will be about 7 hours 30 minutes.

Okinawa has become AirAsia X's 35th destination. AirAsia Chairman commented on the occasion, “Together with AirAsia Group, our combined fleet of over 250 aircraft can now connect Okinawa with over 150 destinations across ASEAN, Asia Pacific, the Middle East and the US.”
