Qatar Airways to Fly Direct between Doha and Siem Reap

Qatar Airways, the state-owned flag carrier of Qatar,  has revealed their plans to launch a new direct route between Doha, the capital of Qatar, and Siem Reap in Cambodia, a resort town and the gateway to the ruins of Angkor, a UNESCO World Heritage site.

The scheduled service is set to commence on November, 16 this year. Initially, the route will be served five times a week with a potential increase of number of weekly flights.

For Qatar Airways, the Doha to Siem Reap route will be the second direct service between the two countries – the airline already connects Doha to Phnom Penh, the capital of Cambodia.

Alain Brun, CEO of Cambodia Airports, said in the press release: “The new service will contribute in re-boosting the Siem Reap destination by further improving connectivity and providing passengers with more travel options.”

Qatar Airways covers a wide network of regional and international destinations operating flights to 87 countries worldwide. It serves a wide range of destinations in USA, Europe and Africa offering convenient connecting flights to Asian destinations via the airline's main hub in Doha.

By adding the DohaSiem Reap route to their portfolio, Qatar Airways will be able to offer an easy one-stop link to the Cambodian destination to travellers from the West.
