JAL to Offer Free Return Tickets to Overseas Memnbers of Its Milleage Program

Foreign members of JAL's mileage program will be offered to apply for free return tickets for domestic flights next summer, the airline's representatives informed.

This initiative is part of an effort to provide foreign travellers with a greater experience of Japan alongside the Olympic and Paralympic Games which will take place the next year in Tokyo between July, 24–August, 6 and August, 25–September, 6 respectively. This will be the second time that Tokyo has hosted the Summer Olympics and Paralympic Games the first being in 1964.

50,000 free return tickets for flights to select destinations between July 1 and Septemper 30 will be offered to overseas members of JAL Mileage Bank. Applications for free tickets will be accepted starting from the end of February.

Only a limited numbers of the airports of departure in Japan will be available. These include Haneda airport in Tokyo, and Itami and Kansai airports in Osaka.

JAL, or Japan Airlines, also known as Nikko, is an international airline and Japan's flag carrier. JAL has four main hubs across the country including Tokyo's Narita International Osaka's Kansai International Airport and Osaka International Airport.
