Six New Marriott Hotels to Open in India between 2021–2025

Six new Marriott hotels will appear in India in the course of five years – the respective agreement between Marriott and the Prestige Group has been signed recently.

Between 2021 and 2025 Marriott's presence in India will be expanded by six new hotels: The W Bengaluru, Tribute Portfolio Resort Bengaluru, Tribute Portfolio Hotel Kochi Maradu, JW Marriott Bengaluru Prestige Golfshire Resort & Spa, Moxy Chennai and Moxy Bengaluru.

India is an important target market for Marriott International, President of Marriott International Asia Pacific admitted. Currently, Marriott has 120 hotels under 16 their brands in the country and now is ready to introduce to South Asia their 17th brand – Moxy.

Two first Moxy hotels in India are set to open in 2024 – the 125-room Moxy will appear in Chennai and the 200-room Moxy will be built in Bengaluru.

The 185-room W Bengaluru will be a welcome addition to Indian collection of W hotels after W Goa and W Mumbai which is expected to open in 2022.

Also in Bengaluru, JW Marriott Bengaluru Prestige Golfshire Resort & Spa will bring 299 new rooms to the city hotel scene in 2022 – it will be located within a 20-25-minute reach from the Kempegowda International Airport Bengaluru.

The smaller 102-room Tribute Portfolio Resort Bengaluru will open first of the batch in 2021, with the 32-room Tribute Portfolio Hotel Kochi Maradu following in 2022.
