Divers have already explored two dive sites in Barangay Tamisan, namely around Waniban Island and Tagaliling – Tamisan MPA Managers and Fisherfolk's Association (TAMPAFAS) Marine Protected Area. Both are located within the Pujada Bay Protected Area Seascape and Landscape, recently included into the list of the most beautiful bays in the world.
The aim of the activity is to locate areas boasting rich biodiversity and featuring coral reefs in good condition. Adding diving sites to Mati's attractions menu will help promote and boost tourism in the province. The ban on dive explorations in the city was lifted only in November opening way to documentation of the potential dive locations in Pujada and Mayo bays.
