Kyushu, the southwesternmost of Japan’s main islands, is the last one to see the autumn off hence it is a great destination to see autumn leaves if you've missed the spectacle in the more well-known northern areas.

Here are the best places to spot Japan's bright autumn leaves in Kyushu.

Fukuoka Prefecture – Dazaifu
