Laos, Indonesia and Thailand Among Vacation Destinations with Best Internet Connection

For the ranking only the most popular vacation destinations for German travellers were shortlisted which are located further than 4,000 km away from Germany. 11 countries made it up to the final shortlist selected by the overall internet connectivity, speed of mobile Internet, the cost of mobile Internet, and distance from Germany.

Evaluation of mobile Internet speed in each destination was based on the data from a leading online speed test site. The average cost of mobile Internet in each country was calculated by a leading price comparison site for Internet and telecommunications.

Fiji turned out to be number 1 of the most remote countries for vacationing Germans with the best internet with Chile being a runner-up. Three representatives of the Southeast Asian region, Laos, Indonesia and Thailand occupy the third, the fourth and the fifth lines of the ranking respectively.
