With the first commercial flight landed in the new airport on September, 26, 2019, on October, 27, six Chinese and eight overseas airlines transferred their regular flights to Daxing International Airport.
Passengers are highly advised to check which airport they are flying from in Beijing as some airlines split their operations between Beijing's airports. Currently only about 10 percent of China Eastern's flights will be operated from Daxing, while China Southern transfers their southbound flights to the new airport, with all the remaining flights to be gradually moved to Daxing by March 2021. Air China starts their Daxing operations with Bangkok-bound flights and 10 domestic flights. In the meantime, Beijing Capital Airlines, Hebei Airlines and Juneyao Airlines have already moved all their operations to the new airport.
Foreign airlines that will fly to and from Daxing Airport include British Airways, Malaysia Airlines, Royal Brunei Airlines, Royal Air Maroc, Himalaya Airlines and iFly Airlines. Polish Airlines and Finnair will have a presence in both Daxing Airport and Beijing Capital International Airport.
After the flight transfers are complete, 104 domestic and 15 international routes to 118 destinations will be served from the new airport.
