Biennial Flower Festival Returns to Da Lat in December

Da Lat, the capital of Vietnam's Lam Dong Province in southern Central Highlands, is preparing to host Flower Festival this December.

The biennial event returns to Lam Dong. The 8th edition of the festival will take place from December 20 to 24 in Da Lat and Bao Loc cities. The festival showcases a great diversity of flowering plants grown in Dalat, both in the wild and cultivated.

In Da Lat, the main displays will be located around Xuun Huong Lake, flower villages, tourist attractions, and major streets and will be on till January, 2.

The program of the festival features a variety of activities including an international flower and bonsai exhibition and the Da Lat Flower Trade Fair scheduled for December 20 – January 1; a Vietnam–Korea culture and art exchange program on December 21 and a scientific conference on architectural heritage of Da Lat on December 23 among others.

In the frame of the festival several seminars on development of tourism in Lam Dong province will be conducted. The organisers would also like to attract visitors' attention to the tea and silk culture the region in known for. A special fashion show featuring unique designs made of silk and brocade produced in Bao Loc, is planned for December 22.

The previous flower festival in Dalat in 2017 attracted some 500,000 visitors, and this time the event will be even bigger than before.
