The VR booth in Changi airport is located in Basement 2 of the airport's Terminal 3 and will be open till November, 6. It allows travellers to virtually explore some of the most attractive destinations across the archipelago including Bali, Banyuwangi, Riau Islands, West Java, Sumba, Rapatwaken (Raja Ampat, Wakatobi and Bunaken), Jakarta, Lombok, Joglosemar (Yogyakarta, Surakarta and Semarang), Makassar and Ambon.
Travel information on places demonstrated in the VR booth is also provided together with recommendations on which attractions to include into the itinerary and tips on visiting.
It is expected that the VR hub will inspire tourists who visit Singapore or connect via Changi to discover new destinations in Indonesia. Changi handles over 500 flights a week to 13 Indonesian cities. The VR promotion campaign can encourage travellers to plan their next trip to Indonesia through Singapore.
Globally, over 7,200 flights depart and land at Changi on a weekly bases.
