Vietnam Airlines Starts Offering Wi-Fi on Selected Flights

From October 10, Vietnam Airlines offer Wi-Fi on selected flights. Now passengers travelling on several routes of the airline are able to enjoy wireless internet connection during their flights.

The inflight Wi-Fi service is currently available on some flights performed by Airbus A350 aircraft on routes originating from Hanoi to Ho Chi Minh (Saigon), Shanghai, Osaka and from Ho Chi Minh to Osaka and Singapore. The airline plans to expand Wi-Fi coverage of their routes in future.

Wi-Fi service is recommended for use with texting purposes through common texting applications like Viber, iMessage, Messenger, WhatsApp, Line, etc.

The airline offers different packages with prices ranging from USD2.95 to USD29.95 depending on desired length of usage period and data capacity (up to 80MB). The service is provided after the aircraft completes its ascend. All major credit cards are accepted for the online payment including Visa, MasterCard, American Express, JCB, or Diners Club. Packeges bought can be used during the flight on a sole device at the same time.

As part of their Wi-Fi service promotion campaign, Vietnam Airlines will offer 30 minutes of free Wi-Fi access to inflight messaging services to all the passengers between October and the end of December 2019.
