Philippines Launch New Tourism Website & Booking Planform

The Department of Tourism (DOT) of the Philippines joined hands with Guide to the Philippines, an e-commerce site, to launch its official travel booking system, featuring DOT-accredited tour operators and establishments.

Now the country has two official tourism web platforms, philippines.travel and guidetothephilippines.ph. The latter offers tourists over 500 best-value travel products offered by DOT-accredited tourism establishments and tour operators. DOT believes that quality of tourism services is the key to tourists' satisfaction. By means of accreditation DOT intends to support a set of standards to assure great customer service.

Last week, DOT also launched its newest tourism website featuring an interactive design that allows users to explore all Philippines tourist destinations with just a click. Philippines.travel allows visitors to learn about all the regions, choose the activieis they like, plan their trips and book their travel with DOT-accredited tourism establishments.

"We are bringing to both foreign and local travelers our 7,641 islands at the tip of their fingers and it starts with a mission to integrate our beautiful destinations, the fun activities, and all the products that our wonderful country can offer through the aid of the internet," DOT Assistant Secretary Howard Lance Uyking said during the launch.
