The largest category is 'Hotels & Resorts' with 62 sub-categories; 'Air' has 25 sub-categories; 'Attraction' – 4; 'Car' – 3; 'Cruise' – 2; 'Destination' – 21; 'Travel Agencies & Travel Operators' – 11; 'Travel Technology' – 6; 'General', 'Meetings & Convention', and 'Rail' each have the only one sub-category.
Our attraction was drawn to the 'Rail' category where Asia's leading luxury train 2019 will be chosen. Out of 5 nominees four – Deccan Odyssey, Maharajas' Express, Palace on Wheels and The Golden Charriot – operate in India and belong to the Indian Railways, IRCTC or KSTDC. The fifth nominee – The Eastern and Oriental Express is owned by Belmond Ltd, headquartered in Hamilton, Bermuda, but operating in Thailand, Malaysia and Singapore.
