The operation of the new route is scheduled to start on December, 19. A new addition to Vietjet's regional flights portfolio, the new direct route will connect Danang, a coastal city in Central Vietnam, with Taipei, the capital of Taiwan.
The route will be served on a daily bases by Airbus A320 and A321 aircraft.
Flights will depart from Da Nang International Airport at 10.50 am and arrive to Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport in Taipei at 2.30 pm. In the opposite direction, flights are scheduled to take off from Taipei at 3.30 pm and land in Danang at 5.30 pm. Taipei is one hour ahead of Danang. The flying time is about three hours.
Vietjet already operates over 20 daily flights between destinations in Vietnam and different airports in Taiwan including Kaohsiung International airport, Taichung International airport, Taoyaung International airport and Tainan Airport.
The representatives of Vietjet said, “The new Danang to Taipei route is part of plans to expand Vietjet’s flight network, bringing more flying opportunities for residents and travellers. Currently, more than 3,000 passengers can fly daily from Hanoi, Danang or Ho Chi Minh (Saigon) to major cities in Taiwan including Taipei, Taichung, Kaohsiung and Tainan. In the future, Vietjet will continue to open new routes, helping to connect local provinces in Vietnam to other countries in the region.”
