Lulugayan Falls and Rapids is hundreds of waterfalls that cascade down the 14-kilometre rapids originating from Lake Kalidongan and going down to the Calbiga River. The falls, some 50 metres wide and with the highest water drop of 30 metres, is among the largest in the country and has been dubbed Mini Niagara by tourists. Lulugayan Falls is most majestic and panoramic at Barangay Literon Correche.
For locals, reopening the falls means more visitors and more income. During the several months of closure, local people from Literon village who provide tourists with services and organize water-related activities at the falls, attended special capability training in order to be able to better cater for tourists' needs.
Currently the road from the village to the falls has been sealed but tourists are not allowed to reach the falls by car and have to leave their cars in Literon and set on for a 740 metre hike along a nature trail.
The daily limits for visiting the Lulugayan Falls are set to 150 tourists.
