AirAsia X Launches KL–Narita FLights

AirAsia X, a long-haul budget airline based in Malaysia, and a sister company of AirAsia, has announced it will add a new direct route to their portfolio of regional flights – this time between Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and Tokyo Narita Airport in Japan.

While the governmental approval is still pending, the flights are scheduled to start on Novemver, 20. The airline is planning to serve the route with four flights per week. Annually, AirAsia X will thus deliver over 156,000 additional visitor seats through Narita Airport.

AirAsia X already operates flights to Tokyo's Haneda Airport. There are seven weekly flights between Kuala Lumpur and Tokyo Haneda plus 21 weekly flights between Bangkok Don Mueang airport and Tokyo Narita. By adding Kuala Lumpur–Narita flight the airline provides its passengers with more flexibility on flight times and connectivity.

The demand for Kuala LumpurTokyo flights is growing constantly so the new route is the response to it. As far as the next year Tokyo will host the Olympics, it will be great time for Tokyo tourism and AirAsia is ready to serve travellers heading to the Japanese capital.

Besides, flying from two airports in Tokyo with different flight times gives more choices to Fly-Thru guests who will have more convenient connections within the airline's global network.
