Take Pictures On Board and Win Free Air Tickets, AirAsia Encourages Their Passengers

Following Garuda Indonesia's recent ban on photos and videos on board AirAsia launched a photo contest among their passengers encouraging them to share their happy experience while flying with the airline.

Entries should be submitted before July, 22, 23.59. Two winners will be offered free tickets with AirAsia from Jakarta to Lombok or from Bali to Labuan Bajo.

To take part in the competition, it is necessary to foloow the airline's accounts in Instagram and FaceBook and post a photo with the hashtag #BahagiaBersamaAirAsia(HappyWithAirAsia) and mentioning of @airasia_bhsindonesia.

Garuda Indonesia recently came under fire on social media after the airline asked passengers and cabin crew members to refrain from taking photos and recording videos on board. The ban was the answer to the viral Instagram photo of a travel blogger showing a handwritten menu for in-flight meals in the airline’s business class.

Later the representatives of Garuda Indonesia announced that 'Passengers can still take pictures inside the plane such as selfies and other photos as long as they don't infringe on the comfort and privacy of other passengers.'
