From Kuala Lumpur to Sydney via Bali with Malindo Air

Malindo Air, a Malaysian low-cost carrier owned by Indonesian Lion Air Group, will offer flights between Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and Sydney, Australia with a stop on Indonesian island of Bali effective from this August.

A new international route will be opened on August 14. Flights will be operated on a daily bases.

Flights from Kuala Lumpur International Airport will depart at 8.15 pm and arrive to Ngurah Rai International Airport in Bali at 9.35 pm. There is a one-hour transit stop in Bali with the flight proceeding to Sydney at 10.35 pm and landing at Sydney International Airport at 6.40 am the next morning. The whole trip from Malaysia to Australia thus will take approximately 12 hours 30 minutes.

In the opposite direction flights from Sydney are scheduled to leave at 12 am, arrive in Bali at 4.50 pm and then to take off for Kuala Lumpur at 6 pm finally arriving to destination by 9.10 pm with the trip taking about 11 hours.

The route will be served by a Boeing 737-900ER aircraft accommodating 12 business and 168 economy class seats. There are currently promotional tickets available starting from USD193.10 one-way for economy class.

For Malindo Air, Sydney becomes the fifth destination city in Australia. The airline already operates flights to Perth, Brisbane, Melbourne and Adelaide. The new service is aimed at both business travelers and tourists.
