The most useful for visiting tourists free refill drinking water tap is located at the ticket counter of the Old Quarter. Three other taps can be found at 8 Hoàng Diệu; 78 Lê Lợi, 155B Trần Phú and 62 Bạch Đằng streets.
Hoi An is the UNESCO-recognised world heritage site. Last year the city was visited by over 2.3 million tourists with about 2 million being overseas visitors. The historical city of Hoi An has recently had free drinking water taps installed in four locations. The installation of free taps for refilling water bottles goes in line with ASEAN's policy to combat plastic waste.
